The closest major airports are Castlegar, Kelowna, and Vancouver International, Calgary International, and Spokane International. Castlegar is the closest being a 30 min drive to the Slocan Valley. Kelowna and Spokane are a four-hour drive, and Vancouver and Calgary are an eight-hour drive weather permitting.

For people coming from Spokane make sure to check opening and closing times of the American / Canadian border. Your group will need to have access to a vehicle, preferably 4 WD, to provide transportation from local accommodation to the staging area, where you will meet the helicopter for your flight into Ice Creek Lodge. Group pickups can be arranged, with transportation to the staging area available. Please call for details. Due to helicopter availability all ski weeks start and end on Fridays.

We recommend that you stay nearby on the Thursday night before your Friday morning flight into the lodge. We feel this is the best way to begin your vacation with Ice Creek Lodge as it gives us the opportunity to meet, sign waivers, and discuss beacons and equipment.

All clients are responsible for arrival at the staging area prior to 9:30 am. By staying nearby we have options in case of bad weather delays or a no-fly day. Great skiing at either White Water, or Red Mountain Resort is only an hour or two away.
